For this assignment, I wanted to create a fun comedic photo. I was able to change the colors of Homer Simpson’s clothing to make him look more like an archaeologist. I also added the hat to put the whole outfit together. I felt that he looked a little odd without the hat so I added it to make him look more complete. I came up with the idea for this just based off his pose. In the original, he was bending down to grab a donut, but I changed the concept so he would be bending over to do something interesting. The most interesting thing I could think of that would fit his pose was digging for bones! I added a paint brush for him to hold so it looks like he’s brushing off the dust of the dinosaur. Small details I added helped to make the piece feel more cohesive.
